Our Story

Five Chapters

An English class at Cathedral, a summer at the cabin, four years between Bloomington and Indy, and a sunset in Malibu.

01
Chapter One · 2018
Cathedral High School

Where It All Began

Believe it or not, we barely talked. We shared an English class, where Zack spent most of it messing with the teacher and Anna spent most of it finding him annoying.

02
Chapter Two · Summer 2020
The Cabin

Summer at the Cabin

In the summer of 2020, the cabin became the unofficial headquarters for our friends — especially after a grad party. Anna had her parents "convinced" that Zack's car belonged to one of her friends, though we're fairly sure nobody was fooled.

Cabin Lore Decades earlier, when another family owned the property, Anna's dad — a Cathedral kid himself — partied in this very cabin. Some traditions choose you.
03
Chapter Three · 2021–2024
Bloomington

Indiana University

Nights at Upstairs, basketball games, and Rod Tuffcurls at the Bluebird. Halfway through, Anna moved to Indianapolis to start her career — so the years turned into Zack driving up to Indy and Anna coming back down to Bloomington.

Chapter Four · 2024
Indianapolis

Back Home Again

After graduation we settled in the city we love. After two years apart, we officially lived in the same city again.

05
Chapter Five · 2025
Malibu, California

A Sunset, A Question

One of our favorite things is a weekend trip to see our favorite artists play. This one was supposed to be the BeachLife Festival in LA. Zack had other plans too: on Malibu Beach, as the sun went down, he asked. She said yes.

Chapter Six

Seven years after that English class, we're getting married in the same place the spark started — Anna's parents' property, where the cabin still stands.

Questions & Answers

Where exactly is the wedding?
The Tobias Family Home — 4500 Kessler Blvd E Dr. The ceremony, dinner, and dancing will all be outside.
What should I wear?
We invite you to join us in elevated, garden-inspired formal attire. Color, florals, and festive details encouraged. Our celebration will take place outdoors on grass, so please choose footwear accordingly.
Are kids invited?
We adore your little ones, but we've decided to keep the celebration adults-only. We hope it gives you a night off to eat, drink, and dance with us.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors, under a tent for dinner and dancing. Indiana in late May is usually warm during the day and cools off after sunset, so you may want a layer for the evening. All of the festivities will take place on grass, so plan footwear accordingly.
Where do I park?
Park or take an Uber to Cathedral High School, 5225 E 56th St, and hop on a shuttle. Shuttles start running at 4:40 pm and the last one leaves at 11:30 pm. There will not be any parking available at 4500 Kessler Blvd E Dr. Please allow extra time when arriving for the ceremony.
